Advisement
Your towing vehicle:- Must be equipped with a hard top if it is an SUV. Sav-On Storage does not allow any type of sport utility vehicle not equipped with a hard top to tow equipment. A full hard top must be in place.
- Must weigh at least 750 lbs. more than the vehicle being towed.
- Must have a Class 2 tow hitch (3,500 lbs. minimum weight-carry rating).
- Must have a 2" hitch ball (3,500 lbs. minimum).
- Must not exceed maximum allowable hitch ball height 25".
- Must have external mirrors on both sides.
- Must have fully operational lighting.
- Tow Dolly lighting must be operational at all times, day and night, loaded or unloaded.
- Maximum recommended speed is 45 MPH.
The vehicle being towed:
- Must not weight in exceed of 3,450 lbs. if it is front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and 3,900 lbs. if it is rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
- Must have a maximum outside-to-outside tire width of 72".
- Must have exceed a body width (at the doors) of 75". Note: body widths over 72" must use late-model Sav-On Tow Dolly
- Low-hanging equipment on the vehicle being towed such as spoilers, air dams, ground effects, etc., may be damaged by contact with the Tow Dolly during loading and unloading. Make sure there is enough clearance for these items.
- Tow lights (tail/stop/turn) required at rear of vehicle being towed.
Remember
- Load trailers heavier in front.
- Reduce normal driving speed.
- Wear a seatbelt.
Cash deposit requires two forms of I.D. and a thumbprint (driver's license, passport, military I.D., or social security card). Rates are subject to change without notice.
Sav-On Truck Rental is committed to doing its part to protect our environment. In the conduct of our truck rental business, we handle a number of materials, such as waste oils, and petroleum products, that many be harmful to the environment and therefore must be disposed of properly and in accordance to the law. Sav-On Truck Rental spends money each year to comply with these requirements and to properly dispose of these materials defray a portion of these costs, Sav-On Truck Rentals charges an environmental fee of $2.00 per day.
A fee charged to cover the cost of generating an invoice. This included energy, paper, and the proper disposition of information contained on one’s contract. To help defray a portion of these costs, Sav-On Truck Rental changes a $1.00 invoice fee per invoice created.
